Overfelt Athletics

East Side Union High School District did not cut athletics for the 2009-10 school year.  Board will approve sports at their April 10, 2009 board meeting.

Highlights –

1.  Each athlete will pay a one-time fee of $200.00 for the school year.

2.  Transportation will be eliminated.

3.    NO ATHLETIC DIRECTOR (AD) or release period, thus eliminating their position at school sites.  Looking at other means to try and fund AD’s.  Two board members are against bring back AD's

4.  Schools must fundraise

5.  Athletics to fund self, according to School Board.

6.  Fundraise with “hcard,” donations and planned events

7.  Aquatics sports to consolidate to three sites.
